IntakeIQ is a patient opportunity management and communications platform developed by DentCMO LLC. Participating dental practices use IntakeIQ to communicate with their own patients and prospective patients. The dental practice is the sender patients recognize; IntakeIQ provides the technology supporting the communication.
1. Overview
SMS messaging through IntakeIQ is intended for conversational and customer-care communications connected to a patient's inquiry, appointment request, scheduling activity, or relationship with a participating dental practice.
Messages are not sent from purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party marketing lists. Participating practices are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent before sending messages.
2. How messaging works
3. How patients provide consent
Patients may opt in when completing an appointment request or patient inquiry form for a participating dental practice. The form requests a mobile telephone number and presents a separate SMS consent disclosure with an unchecked checkbox.
The patient must actively select the checkbox before submitting consent. Providing a telephone number alone does not automatically constitute agreement to receive text messages.
The SMS consent checkbox is displayed unchecked. The patient must affirmatively select it. Consent records may include the date, time, source form, practice, and consent-language version.
4. Types of messages
Depending on the patient's request and the participating practice's workflow, messages may include:
- Responses to patient inquiries.
- Appointment scheduling and availability.
- Appointment confirmations.
- Appointment reminders.
- Requests for additional information.
- Related customer-care follow-up.
Message frequency varies based on patient interactions, appointment activity, and the communication needs of the participating dental practice. Message and data rates may apply.
5. Managing messaging preferences
Recipients may reply STOP at any time to opt out of further text messages from the applicable messaging program. A confirmation message may be sent after the opt-out request.
Recipients may reply HELP for assistance. They may also contact the participating dental practice directly using the contact information supplied by that practice.
